| Wow! So long since my last update, but Brian Austin Akers (named after his two grandfathers, not the actor from Beverly Hills 90210  ) arrived April 22nd at 8:04 p.m. He weighed 7lbs 11 ozs and was 20 inches long. I will give a full birth story when I get some down time, but until then...here are just a few pics.  Patiently waiting for Brian to come

| *EDIT* I just got the phone call today...10 a.m. on Friday, April 20th! Two more weeks until I see my little man!!! *END EDIT* Just a little update... I found out a few weeks ago baby Brian is sitting breech...and as of my appointment this week, he hasn't flipped yet. My doctor and I discussed my options and what I would be comfortable with and we both decided to just schedule a c-section. She is looking as we speak for what is available on the 19th. Aaron will get to come home a few days before so I guess you could say things are working out great. It puts a smile on my face knowing my baby boy will be here in less than two weeks! | | |
| I am writing this to let you all know that I probably won't be on here much any more. My life has done a complete 180 and I feel so overwhelmingly lost. Just when I thought the worst was over in my life, something else comes along...the only thing keeping me going at this point is my precious baby, Brian. I love him so much. | | |
| Yup, I officially suck at keeping my blog updated.  Life has been pretty normal since my last update. I am finally in the home stretch of my pregnancy and I can hardly believe it! This whole experience has flown by and I can't believe that my little man will be here in just a few short months. I have been feeling wonderful and I am just now experiencing some mild back pain...it's probably my crappy posture, but I'm sure the baby has a lot to do with it as well.  The only thing that I have to complain about is the relationship I have with my husband. We don't have a bad one...it's just difficult to be separated during such an important time our lives. We both have difficulty understanding where the other one is coming from...I'm pregant and he's in a war zone for the third time. Trying to imagine him missing the actual birth is something I don't want to do, but I guess that's the reality of being a military wife...and I know God has put us in this situation for some reason. Speaking of my husband, he was begging for an actual belly picture so this is what he had to settle for. He thinks I'm huge, but I think baby Brian and I are doing quite well at 30 weeks.
